The Vintage Sisters started life in 2012 after I began to plan my own vintage inspired hen party & wedding . I knew I wanted a relaxed, quirky vintage inspired wedding with lots of tea & cakes, and great music but I found it hard to find like minded suppliers... and so i started the idea that eventually became The Vintage Sisters' Travelling Tea Room!
My background is in window dressing, working at Harrods, Selfridges and Habitat alongside the likes of Cath Kidston and Annabel Lewis of V.V Rouleaux.
A lifelong vintage fan, I specialised in 'shabby chic' dressing as well as styling and freelancing, this left me with a keen eye for detail and creating magic and I love making someone's occasion really special - no two parties are ever the same!
I have always been inspired by 1940's wartime Britain and the 'make do and mend' attitude of that generation. My Travelling Tea Room takes its' inspiration from that nostalgia, and creates a little snippet of a bygone era. I love the vintage swing dance scene and the music, and my husband is a vintage music d.j so I always have fantastic bespoke music playing in the background!
