how it works

Organising a wedding, or indeed any event can be overwhelming if you've never done it before so we hope we can answer some of your queries here-if not you can always contact us.

Some of our most common queries are;

do you provide table linen and china for the food you serve?

Yes we do-all our quotes include table linen for the food table (buffet style)and all china, glasses, cutlery, paper napkins, and for events with more than 30 guest quotes include our stylish waitresses!

can we  supply our own alcohol?

Yes, we don't charge a corkage as such we charge for the hire of our stylish glasses/enamel mugs or jam jars & our waitresses-please do ask for a quote as every occasion is different.

we love your style-can you do it for our venue? Again, yes! We are good at turning a blank canvas into a vintage/rustic beauty, we can either dress your venue with our selection of props  (see our wedding gallery)or set up for you on the day, again its hard to give a one price fits all quote so do contact us for a no obligation quote.From 250 per stylist. We can also provide the vintage music for your event-from £350.

Can we supply our own cakes? We prefer not to mix & match with our food to be honest, however you can hire our 'bake off' set up to display and serve your own cakes.

How do I book you ?

To save the date, we ask for a 20% booking fee with the remainder payable 2 weeks before your big day-there is a small minimum charge of £150 for your event but you can book for the numbers you know are coming then add more later so you don't have to worry about securing the date.We understand you may be on a budget, we don't give discounts but we are always happy to work with your budget-prices start from £5pp.

Is there anything else I need to consider or let you know about?

We charge a loss/breakage deposit of 15% for hosted parties or 20% for non hosted which is returnable either the next day or as soon as our tea parties are returned-don't worry though we've rarely had broken/lost items but we are a small business and need to do this to keep on baking!

If you have guests who require gluten free or lactose intolerant/vegan etc please let us know at the time of booking-very reluctantly we *may* have to charge a little extra if we cannot incorporate this into our menu (i.e if we have to bake a separate cake for just 1 or 2 guests), I'm sure you will understand that this is how we can keep our prices competitive.
