New blog!

Or diary of a Tea Lady I suppose!

A few years ago I had a blog that I constantly updated but life took over, I got busy and I stopped updating and once you do that its hard to start again so it ended, but Ive always missed blogging!

I've been very busy these last months, normally the wedding season dies off in early September but I am lucky enough to work at the Asylum aka Caroline Chapel Gardens in Peckham on a regular basis-its my favourite venue and one of the few that is actually better in the Winter months with the numerous candles and festoon lighting they use. I have done 3 weddings there this month and 2 to come-it's safe to say I love the venue!

So whats so special about the Asylum? It apparently holds about 50% of the weddings in Southwark London-thats because its oh so different and relaxed!

1. There are 3 wedding co-ordinators there who go above and beyond to ensure your day runs as planned.

2. It's very photogenic.

3. its memorable

4. You can have drinks and nibbles afterwards before heading off to your evening venue.

5. If you don't want to get married in a church its a great atmospheric alternative.
